HALLOWEEN 2009

I haven't posted anything on my blog since May! Sorry, but it takes forever to do all of this sometimes. Now, I'm going to at least post pictures from October. Then I'll try to catch up on all of the summer pics. But, for now, just enjoy Madeeha on Halloween.

Madeeha was a little princess for Halloween. All dressed up in her favorite color, PINK! Mrs. Buchanan bought this dress for her last year when we were in Mobile. Traci bought the hat for her back during her visit to Colorado in 2008.

Madeeha was super excited for the entire week leading up to Halloween. She woke up one morning, eyes not even open yet, and said "I want my Halloween candy. It's only a couple of days." She kept saying that daddy was a Halloween monster and that she was gonna say BOO! We played 'monsters' all week. She totally played it up and enjoyed the holiday. While trick-or-treating, she was very sweet and said Trick or Treat and then said thank you to everyone. She is really into holidays now. We just finished Halloween and now she's focusing on Christmas. But that's because I haven't mentioned Thanksgiving yet. :)

Cutest princess Ever!

She definitely loves to pose for the camera. I didn't even have to ask her. It comes naturally to my little princess.

Now she's spinning around and dancing for me.

Tah Dah! Look at me mommy! I'm a Halloween princess!

We made a quick visit to the neighbor's house. That's strong man Praatham and his little sister, Riya, the penguin. Riya looked too funny walking around in that costume.

And now we're across the street at Bill & Irene's house. She chased this boy the whole time and they had a blast together.

I can't wait until next Halloween! Now that she really understands holidays, it'll be time to decorate more. She was very cute this year and very excited!

March - May 2009

Madeeha's first ice cream cone at Baskin Robbins. It was actually my mocha flavored ice cream that she loved and then took from me. I took several pictures, but she was making a funny face in all of them. I guess it was cold on her front teeth.

She also shared with her daddy who was eating 2 different flavors in a cup. They look so much alike in this picture, minus the pudgy nose.

Here she is just happy to be hanging out with Riya. Madeeha hears the doorbell ring on the mornings when Riya comes over and she jumps out of bed and says "It's a Riya!". She also cries every single day when Riya's parents come to the door to pick her up. She says "No, it's not Bhavya, it's not Bhavya!", which means she doesn't want to see Bhavya at the door because that means Riya goes home. You can see by her face that Madeeha just adores being in the company of other children.

As always, the home improvement stores are a big hit with Madeeha. She was really happy to ride in this 'car' buggy. She was being a total brat this day, but she always comes out smelling like roses in her pictures. You'd think she was an angel. I swear it's the chemicals in the kids' plastic bottles and cups and something in the water that makes them so stubborn. It can't be a natural phenomena for children to do everything possible to drive their parents insane.

This is one of the play areas at the Pearl St. outdoor mall in Boulder.

This was our big snow day on March 27th! We played and played for a couple of hours in the yard. The poor kid could barely walk because the snow was so thick. All of the snow in the yard was destroyed by the time we got done with it. We ran all over the place. I took lots of pictures, but I just wanted to show you some from that day. In this picture she was throwing a snowball at her daddy.

Look at her happy little face :) She thought it was great that I was rolling around in the snow and she wanted to join me.

It was hard work for her to walk through that snow.

I threw myself forward just for fun. The snow was thick enough to cushion my face and body while doing a belly buster.

She's patting the snow down just like daddy.

It's time for a snot lickin' break!

Just like a large scoop of ice cream :)

EASTER
Different day, same jacket. This is actually an Easter egg hunt potluck and playdate that I hosted at my house. Her favorite find was the rubber stretchy bunnies. That bunny is still around the house and makes an appearance every couple of weeks. When she finds it, she obsesses over it all day for several days. She takes it to bed and then wakes up asking for it. She actually wasn't very interested in collecting eggs. She found one, opened it up and was content. I had to hold her hand and make her collect eggs. She only got 6. We had about 150 eggs out there, so that tells you how uninterested she was. She just wasn't listening to me when I told her that there were more treats in the eggs. She was happy with her blue bunny.

Notice that in every picture, she's still holding the blue bunny.

She's going through someone else's egg collection.

Showing off her prized possession.

One of her favorite places to play these days is behind the curtains in the front room. She hides there for fun or sometimes when she's upset and doesn't want to see her mommy's face. I took several cute pictures, but she wasn't wearing any pants. :D

"Rarrrrrrrr!!!!! Did I scare you mommy?!"

Madeeha was on one of her backyard adventures. It was a little chilly outside, but the sun had warmed it up way more than I thought. So, I sent her out all bundled up and then she found a puddle. I had forgotten that it rained the day before. We've had quite a bit of rain this Spring, which is unusual. I completely forgot about the rain and the fact that we have a hole in our yard where water can collect. I got a nice surprise when I went outside to check on her. She took dirt from the veggie garden and made some mudpies to eat.

Eating the mud while standing in the puddle.

The aftermath. More than pleased to pose for the picture.

How cute is that little face?!

Miss Priss delicately holding her grill cheese sandwich in one hand and a weed flower in the other. She picks those lovely yellow flowers and gives them to me as gifts. She comes running and saying "Here you go mommy. I got a flower for you." I praise and thank her and she walks away feeling so accomplished and pleased with herself.

I went through the box of toys that Angie sent for Madeeha. She still breaks everything in sight, but I figured she was old enough to use the earrings and necklace. She loved it! She posed for so many pictures. She won't wear them anymore, but she carries the necklace everywhere! She takes it in stores too.

The most beautiful girl in the world!

We try to get her to stop running and pose every time she wears a new dress. It's difficult to get a good picture, but I'm trying to document all of her cute stuff. She got lots of cute dresses this year. She is way more girly, girl this summer. Every time I fix her hair, she immediately runs to her daddy and shows him how cute she is. She loves the attention and we egg it on. It's cute. She always needs her daddy's approval. He tells her how beautiful and precious she is and that just makes her melt and squish up into his legs.

Check out this pose.

...and this one. Tah Dah!!!

Size 4T swimsuit

In Boulder. The balloon man made her a pink puppy. It didn't take her very long to destroy it.

In the kids' area at Barnes & Noble. She played with two older boys for over an hour. I think they were about age 6 and 8. They picked her up and carried her all over the place. They helped her at the water fountain and read books to her. She was so upset, as usual, when we went home. Those kids were really good with her. That's their mom in the picture. She is from Nepal. Apparently Madeeha prefers 'exotic' boys. She always has a crush on the little brown guys. She loves the Indian boy next door. Last year she really liked a little boy who is part Mexican. Then she had a blast with these Nepali boys. She has an Asian heart :).

Here she is modeling another dress. We were getting ready to go to a birthday party. She is just cute as a button!

Wanted to make sure I took a picture of her shoes.
