November Cuteness

Here are the most recent pics of Madeeha since our return from vacation.

She really loved the faucet section at the Home Depot. This picture is from October 26th.

This was her first taste of corn on the cob at Joe's Crab Shack on Nov 1st.

We went to the Colorado Mills Mall and we couldn't get away from the kids section. We walked in the wrong entrance. We passed an arcade and bubble gum machines and we finally got stuck at the ride section for at least half an hour.

Her favorite was the school bus as you can see by her face.

We were hanging out at Dave & Buster's. She loved this place. It was like kid heaven. She danced and wiggled in the chair and touched everything. She even tried to snatch some boy's prize tickets.

This was Madeeha's first face painting. We were at Avery's one year birthday party at a kids museum in mid November. They told her to pick the painting that she wanted, so she picked the sun.

This is her friend, Abby. She always asks for Abby and her brother, Logan. They are running around the train table.

This is my absolute favorite picture! We were at a playdate at Sara's house when I snapped this one. It's so cute!

Just being cute for mommy.

Wink, wink baby!

She likes to wrap up in a blanket and cuddle with daddy.

She was a little worried about this helmet. Look at her face.

THANKSGIVING!!!

Madeeha watched daddy as he cut the turkey. This is Imran's duty every year, but he doesn't mind. He can nibble on hot, yummy turkey right out of the oven. They're both giving a big cheeeeeese.

Our neighbors and one of Imran's co-workers came over. That's the neighbor's baby that Madeeha was loving on. She loves babies. That's a very sweet little baby. I held her for a long time and fed her and she never made a sound.

Later on that night, haning out with daddy.

And last, but not least, I had to include the demon photo. Her pupils have disappeared and it's a little bit creepy, but still cute.

Little Babbler and her Favorites

Madeeha says all kinds of cute things. She's quite the talker. She doesn't say very much around friends, but in the house we can't get her to be quiet.

* She likes to say hi to everyone in public places. She demands their attention. She doesn't
understand it when some people choose to ignore her or just can't hear her. She keeps trying
though. She'll say hi to them until they are out of her sight.

* She LOVES to sing songs and she dances constantly

* She's known the ABC song for a very long time now

* She can count to fifteen and started counting before her first birthday

* She can say difficult names or phrases like 'Praatham' or 'Alhamdulillah', but she says
Alhamallah

* 'Quirrel' for squirrel

* 'Coo' munks for Alvin and the Chipmunks

* 'Clues Clues' for Blues Clues

* Princess for Dora the Explorer

* 'Logurt' for yogurt

* 'Chitchen' for Chicken

* When I ask her if she wants something and she's indecisive and angry, she says "No, it's
finished!"

* She checks on us when we wipe our eyes. She asks if we are crying. Then she'll say "No
crying, it's alright mommy(or daddy)." and pat us on the back or stroke our hair.

* She very clearly says "What's the matter daddy?" He'll pretend to be upset if she won't kiss
him.

* She can say most anything that you ask her to say. She struggles with some words.
Sometimes she can pronounce the syllables of a word perfectly, but then she will struggle a
little bit when she tries to combine them. But, she is doing very well for her age.

MADEEHA'S FAVORITES

Yogurt
Chicken
Biscuits
Cheese
Fruit (especially mandarin oranges, bananas and grapes)
Juice Box (loves Mango)
Hot Salsa
Spicy Food
Chai
Chocolate or any Candy

We're very lucky that she will eat almost anything as long as she is in the mood to eat it. She likes all vegetables, but she prefers them spiced or in vegetable soup or something. She recently tried corn on the cob for the first time at Joe's Crab Shack and she loved it. We had to order and extra one.

Rock Creek Farms

The day after Halloween, we decided to take Madeeha to a pumpkin farm and let her see field after field of pumpkins. We also took her through the corn maze. She thought all of that was great. But, it was time for her nap. So we had to ride around and let her sleep off the 'grumpys' before we could go to the farm.

Here she is taking her afternoon nap. We, of course, stopped by Starbucks while she was sleeping and that's when I took the picture.

It was a nice day, but there was a bit of a haze. I didn't get any clear pictures of the mountain range, but there really was a nice view from the fields. Almost all of the pumpkins had gone bad at this point...fields of waste.

Trying to find the perfect pumpkin chair.

Ahhhhhh....this one :-). She loves sitting on pumpkins.

There was a small tent with hay under it just at the entrance of the corn maze. She had fun throwing it around on her mommy and daddy.

She, of course, has to touch everything.

Daddy raced with Madeeha through the maze. She had lots of fun with him.

She just wouldn't feel right if she wasn't pulling my hair.

I love the clouds in Colorado.

She rolled around in the dirt quite a bit. I have quite a few pics of her on the ground.

One of my several attempts to catch a good picture of the mountain range.

Halloween 2008 'Alabama Girl'

This was Madeeha's first 'real' Halloween. We carved three pumpkins and we bought two small pumkins and drew faces on them. She insisted that she watch while we cleaned and carved her pumpkins. This year was the first time that she went trick or treating.

Wearing the shirt that Aunt Angie gave her.

Here's our spread. It was completely emptied when we returned to the house.

Madeeha was an Alabama cheerleader. She says 'Roll Tide!'

She couldn't wait for her candy. We barely got down the street before we had to open a twix bar to calm her down.

Daddy is proudly and happily taking Madeeha door to door. He had fun too.

There she goes....running away with her precious princess bucket. She loved that bucket. We went to one house and the man could barely get the screen door open before Madeeha thrust the bucket towards him. She hit the screen door in her rush to get her candy. She always asks for her bucket when she feels like having a piece of candy.

She's had enough now. She stopped cooperating, so we turned around and headed home. But, she wouldn't let go of those three suckers. She dropped one and screamed until she got it back.

We ran into this fella right before we got home. As you can see, Madeeha was scared. She's holding on to her daddy as tightly as possible. Her foot is even folded in, but I don't blame her.

After we put her bucket in the house, we went to our neighbors house for food and mingling. Madeeha tried to eat their candy all night long. She never would have stopped eating candy if we hadn't taken it away. Everyone was stunned by how much candy she wanted to eat.

A little bit of random cuteness before vacation

We actually managed to get a clip in her hair for a few minutes. She looks like a little girl, but she refuses to stay that way.

Here is Madeeha crawling on the floor and looking for every way possible to destroy the house and keep it messy.

Posing with mommy.

Poor baby has a busted lip and a scratched chest. She was smacked in the face by a kid on a swing. She goes right for them every time.

Imran and I hanging out on Eid at a friend's house. Madeeha was running around in her dress and wouldn't take any nice pictures.
